Our Story

Portico Planters was started by Allyson Wiggins in 2018.

Allyson grew up in Charlottesville and has lived in Richmond for almost 20 years. She graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Fine Arts and Art History and is a Master Gardener.  Prior to starting Portico Planters, Allyson had a successful career as a commercial real estate broker, maximizing the value of property investments for landlords, developers, and retailers. She is on the board of directors for Children Incorporated, an international nonprofit organization that provides support to impoverished children in 23 countries around the world.

Allyson lives in the city of Richmond with her husband, Justin, their daughter, Kensi, and their four-legged gardener, Emmylou.
